Hi, I’m Zubin! Thanks for visiting my page.
I am a Singapore-based robotics engineer with a passion for 3D printing, coding, and developing intelligent systems. Currently, I’m a robotics and AI researcher at the National University of Singapore, working under the supervision of Professor Dean Ho, Chair of the Biomedical Engineering Department.
My research focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of a companion robot in reducing teen anxiety through biometric monitoring and adaptive breathwork. To achieve this, I am developing a desktop robot called Zeusoo equipped with biometric sensors that measure physiological data. Using AI to analyze the sensor feedback, the robot will guide users through personalized breathwork patterns delivered via haptic movements, with its round body expanding and contracting in rhythm to support the breathing exercises.
I will be presenting a prototype of my emotional support robot Zuzi at Voices of the Future, Singapore’s inter-school debate on AI and Ethics, taking place in March 2026 at the ArtScience Museum.
I am a student at United World College Singapore and love competing in triathlons, rock climbing and playing padel.
I founded the club Better Robots in 2023 to explore the relationship between machines and robots and advocate the principles of building ethical robots. We teach robotics to kids in Singapore and have conducted workshops for primary school students at SINDA. I built my first electric car, the Z-Force Buggy, in 2022 and created Arro, a friendly sports-bot that delivered drinks for soccer players which was featured by FC Barcelona in 2019.
I am also Vice-President of Ethical Coders, a youth club to encourage debate on the ethics of technology through sci-fi books, films, and interviews in partnership with the ArtScience Museum.
You can find me on LinkedIn but I rarely check it as I’m usually tinkering in my workshop. 😊
